We're setting up our first People’s Kitchen Community Space in Newham (Thames Barrier Park) & it’s a huge step for us

We need all the help we can get, firstly with our fundraising campaign to build our kitchen, (including an amazing commercial wood burning stove). It’s gonna take a community to raise the funds, come and be part of our community of giving:

The Idea is Simple:

We collect surplus stock from local businesses (imperfect fruit, vegetables, bread, etc, destined for landfill)...  combine them with a store cupboard of dry goods...  Transform a community space into a temporary kitchen ...  People, just like you, turn up on the day, peel, chop, cook and chat... between us we create a plant based feast… and then we open for dinner-by-donation

We work on a model of giving, improvising and using our combined resources. Donation money helps keep our cupboards stocked, and supports community projects where our feasts are hosted, so, in Bethnal Green we raised funds for:  Weavers Adventure Playground.

If you want to come help at a Community Feast, simply turn up on the day at 2pm... or head over at 6pm for an amazing vegan Buffet Banquet.
